The area around Naturist Camping Flevo-Nature invites for wonderful hiking and biking tours. Enjoy the beautiful nature, the idyllic beaches and the vast forests that adorn the polder landscape. Flevo Natuur is in the middle of the Hulkesteinse Bos nature reserve, located in the former basin of the Eem River. The diverse soil types, including clay, sand and peat, combined with varying groundwater levels, contribute to a rich and varied vegetation.
Explore this beautiful area via one of the many hiking and biking trails, relax on the nudist beach (Laaksestrand) or enjoy quiet moments at the Laakse Slenk, a prehistoric stream recently restored. Discover the huge variety of dragonfly species thanks to the return of water streams between the trees.

From Flevo Nature you have direct access to the Hulkenstein forest with beautiful hiking trails. Or get on your bike or car first to discover Flevoland's wonderful hiking trails!
Discover the Laakse Slenk
Just steps away from Flevo Natuur is the Laakse Slenk, an ancient watercourse in the Hulkestein Forest. The Laakse Slenk now serves as a new habitat for dragonflies such as the white-nosed dragonfly and waterfowl such as the kingfisher and osprey. You can see the Laakse Slenk from the Wielseweg towards Naturist Camping Flevo Natuur. Here is also an entrance gate to this area. Along the banks of the Laakse Slenk runs a beautiful walking route of 4 km. You will also find an exciting crossing over the water and prehistoric objects of experience, such as a hearth. This recreational and educational route was created in cooperation with Flevo-landschap.
Explore the Horsterwold
The Horsterwold is one of the largest contiguous deciduous forests in the Netherlands. Here you share the forest with only deer, wild horses, fallow deer, foxes and various bird species. There is an extensive network of trails and routes waiting for you. Moreover, there are large parts of the forest with fewer trails where it is even quieter. This vast area is home to numerous special spots and places of interest.

With the wind in your hair, you will discover the most beautiful places in Flevoland. It is easy to cycle and the landscapes can be very different. So you cycle along the water, meadows and through forests and there is a good chance that you might even encounter wild animals! A special experience is to explore the Silent Core of the Horsterwold, with a lookout point where you can often spot konik horses, really a great experience! This area is only 10 km away! With the bicycle junction map of the VVV you can put together the most beautiful routes yourself and determine their length. It is really a must try.
