Herewith we send you the August newsletter. For most guests, the summer vacation is unfortunately over already, but what was it like the past few weeks on the park! We enjoyed being together and are now looking forward to a wonderful post-season!

Radiant Finale of "So You Think You Can Opgieten 2024"
Under the watchful eye of an expert jury, VIP guests and Flevo Nature's enthusiastic audience, five impressive make-up sessions were presented. Congratulations to all participants for their fantastic achievements! A special congratulations goes out to Camil, who now proudly holds the title 'BlootGewoon! Master of the Towel 2024'. A week earlier, we enjoyed the young casting talent during the KIDS version here at the campsite. What a party it was again!
Natupop Festival
First of all, we would like to thank the VvE for making the Sijsjesveld available during the Natupopfestival. Thanks to you we were able to welcome extra campers so that they could enjoy the festival as well.
We had beautiful weather, great music and a fantastic atmosphere. The togetherness on the island was special and it was great to see how many guests had gotten creative with the theme: Love, Peace & Music! Flower Power! The opening by the Flevo Choir was a lot of fun and the annual band Las Bandidas provided another dazzling performance. Four more fantastic bands followed, so there was something for everyone. The festival was again a great success and we are already looking forward to next year, from July 25 to 27, 2025!
Do you still have drink tickets?
You can still use these cards during events at the hospitality industry's event terrace. They are also redeemable for cash at the hospitality industry until the end of 2024.
Shopping at Flevo Nature - Reminder
We are proud of our extensive on-site grocery store, where you will find everything you need: fresh produce, sandwiches, drinks and more. By doing your shopping here, you not only support yourself, but also our camping community. This helps maintain and improve our facilities and creates a friendly atmosphere at the campground.
We understand that some guests have their groceries delivered by external companies such as Albert Heijn or Jumbo, for example for health reasons. Please make sure that the delivery takes place during reception opening hours. Keep in mind that some deliverers do not want to enter the park. In that case, you need to pick up the groceries yourself at the barrier.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming you to our supermarket and providing you with everything you need for a fantastic stay at Flevo Nature.
Motorcycle tour
The motorcycle ride on Sunday, August 4, was accompanied do beautiful weather. It was again a pleasant group riding along. On the way there was a break with sandwiches and a nice group picture was taken.
Hut Building 2024
The hut building was again a great building party for the children. With more than 40 enthusiastic builders, wonderful creations were made. What a success!
Ducks at Flevo Nature
We all enjoy nature and the animals around us, especially the cute ducks that visit our campground. Unfortunately, the growing duck population is causing unwanted surprises around the pool and sauna area. :duck::shit:
Did you know that feeding ducks is actually bad for them? It can interfere with their natural diet and cause health problems. Bread is especially unhealthy; it's too fatty and salty, making them fat. In addition, excess bread deteriorates water quality, which in turn harms fish and other animals. It also attracts pests, such as rats. Therefore, we kindly ask you not to feed our feathered friends. This is how we keep our campsite clean and pleasant for everyone!
Location signs
It is nice for everyone to know where you are when you walk across the park. About a year and a half ago we checked the entire park to identify locations without signs. Due to various circumstances, the installation of the location signs has been delayed. You may have already seen the field service busy: the signs are finally being placed. It is nice that soon everyone will be able to easily see if they are in the right place again.
Telephoning at the park
To ensure that everyone can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, we would like to kindly request that phone calls not be made on the speaker. This helps to keep the peace at the park. Please consider using a headset or otherwise keep your conversations private. Around the pool, we ask that you use your phone discreetly and cover the camera if necessary. Thank you for your understanding and let's work together to keep a nice atmosphere!
Volunteer App Recreation Activities
We are planning to set up a WhatsApp group called "Volunteer Recreation App. Through this group we can approach you for help with activities such as the Colorrun, Lightwalk and Ghost Walk. Would you like to help us and be part of this group? Then send a message to 06-45286475 with your name, location and the text 'volunteer app', and we will add you. Thanks in advance for your support and enthusiasm!
Exhibition sculpture course
On Saturday, August 31 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. we will present the results of this year's sculpture course. The works can be admired at the course location opposite the library near the supermarket. The creations are again surprising and definitely worth coming to see. Be sure to stop by!
Glass bottle decoration
Our colleague Marcel is very handy and has a special talent for making decorations in glass bottles. He even made a unique Flevo Nature item, where all the parts are brought in through the neck of the bottle. Even if you turn the bottle upside down, everything stays neatly in place. That's clever and beautifully done, isn't it?
16th Nijkerk Tugboat Days
Are you a fan of boats? Then visit the 16th Nijkerk Towboat Days on Saturday, September 7! More than fifty tugs, tow-boats, pushers and a steam tug from the sailing heritage will be present. From 11:00 a.m. there will be activities and demonstrations around the harbor basin. In addition, there will be a Shanty Festival with six choirs, organized by the Zeemanskoor Nijkerks Welvaren. It will be a day full of maritime fun!

Will you walk with us?
On Sunday, September 15, we will organize a fun walk with the guests of Flevo Nature. Put this in your agenda and walk with us! We will explore the beautiful Klompenpad in Nijkerk (12 km). We leave at 09:30 from the visitor parking lot, carpooling is possible. Dogs can unfortunately not come along. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the peace and beauty of the outskirts of Nijkerk. Along the way Corrie is ready with coffee and something tasty.
Take a trip around the world with Hans Kroon
Hans Kroon has collected an impressive collection of souvenirs, carvings and other mementos through his many travels. From Sept. 19 to 22, he will exhibit part of this collection at the Recreade. In addition to admiring the souvenirs, you can peruse photo books, listen to world music, watch a photo presentation and have your picture taken in traditional clothing from different countries. Admission is free.
