We kindly ask you to pay extra attention to our car-free policy when work is being done on the campground. If you are visited by a company that is doing work, we ask them to unload their belongings and then drive their car or bus back to the parking lot. This is important so that others maintain access and do not have to drive backwards, which is often not possible.
In addition, in this way we ensure that emergency services such as ambulances always have free access in case of an emergency. Together we ensure that our campsite remains safe and accessible for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
If it is really necessary that the car or bus stay, consult with Gert-Jan well in advance about the possibilities.
PS: due to the summer vacations, no work may be done that causes noise pollution until September 1.
We have a full schedule of activities for all ages: from dancing and crafts to archery tag and paintball. Here is a sampling of the planned activities:
In addition, you can participate in our recurring activities such as Flevo-themed Jeu de boule, Volleyball, Crea club, Table Tennis, Clovers, Hiking, Sports Work-out and the Flevo Choir.

The Running Dinner will be held on Saturday, September 7. Here's why you're participating:
✔︎ Meet fellow park guests
✔︎ Enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner at 3 different locations (1 course you cook yourself, two courses you eat at others)
✔︎ Discover new places in the park that you might not otherwise frequent
This year marks the seventh edition of the Running Dinner! The idea is that you cook one course in a team of two and eat the other two courses at others' houses at the park. The composition of the group changes with each course, giving you an enjoyable evening with different people. You can sign up with a team member or we will try to make a match if several people sign up on their own.
You can sign up until Saturday, August 24 (participation costs € 4.00 p.p.). You will hear no later than Sunday, September 1, for how many people (about 6, including yourself) you will cook which course. On the day itself you will hear during the amuse in the Rekreade where you will eat which course.
Want to know more or sign up right away? Then get the information letter and registration form at the reception desk. We are already looking forward to it!
We have found that guests regularly pour their own, which causes damage to the stove. It is absolutely not allowed to throw anything onto the stove. Only the Flevo Natuur team is allowed to do that. Let's work together to ensure that we can enjoy our beautiful facilities for a long time to come. Thank you for your cooperation!
In the outskirts of Zeewolde lies an extraordinary wooden fishing ship that sailed the Zuiderzee five centuries ago. Right behind Flevo Natuur, on the edge of the Hulkestein forest, hidden among the trees, this ship perished about 500 years ago. "Back then, this was still the Zuiderzee," says maritime archaeologist Wouter Waldus. "Such a ship had many functions: fishing vessel, tugboat or means of transportation for soldiers. This is probably one of the oldest we know of."
Excavations began two years ago with the aft section of the ship to assess whether further excavation was worthwhile. The archaeologists discovered that the ship's condition was rapidly deteriorating and decided to expose the entire wreck and remove it from the ground. The ship is about sixteen meters long and more than five meters wide, making it a small water vessel compared to most ships that were about twenty meters long.
Maritime archaeologists from the Cultural Heritage Agency and students from the Flevoland Field School of Marine Archaeology are working until early August to excavate and document the ship. Second-year student Anisa is removing clay from the shipwreck to make the structure of the beams more visible. "The higher you get, the more fragile the wood, so you have to proceed carefully," she explains.
A third-year student is responsible for sieving the clay. "It may not be the most charming task, but it is important work," he said.
Sixth-year student Robin provides a 3D scan of the ship parts. "We used to draw this on paper, but a 3D model is much more accurate," Jonker said.
What the archaeologists and students have in common is their passion for ship archaeology. "With ships, everything comes together," Jonker says. "Everything about how we used to live comes together on a ship like that. And I find that very special."
For lovers of marine archaeology, there will be an open house on August 3 from 11 a.m. to 3'.m. Students will then give a tour and show their discoveries.
The new cabinet has announced its intention to increase VAT on residential recreation from 9% to 21%. This measure will hit both entrepreneurs and consumers hard and make vacations in the Netherlands unaffordable. HISWA-RECRON, the entrepreneurs' organization for water sports and recreation companies, has therefore started a petition to prevent this increase. We would like to ask you to sign the petition via lagebtwvakantiepark.petities.nl Together we can send a strong signal to politicians.
